Manages Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) programming and partners with internal and external sources to lead and drive the execution of key programming, sponsorships, events, awards and survey submissions, learning plans, and organizational capability building across the company. Responsible for supporting the analysis and implementation of the D&I corporate strategy. Builds and enhances partnerships with assigned Human Resources (HR) and business unit partners to recommend D&I strategies in support of overall business objectives. Collects and presents external D&I industry data and provides research and analysis of best practices. Reviews organizational D&I results and provides analysis and recommendations for strategy planning.

Job Description

Reporting Relationships: Reports to the AVP, Diversity and Inclusion – Human Resources. Usually does not have direct or indirect reports.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementation of the diversity and inclusion corporate strategy which includes key programming, sponsorships, events, awards and survey submissions, learning plans, and organizational capability building across the company.

  • Specializes in the implementation of various simple to complex diversity and inclusion initiatives.

  • Lead and manage the design and implementation of programs which support diversity and inclusion communication and education initiatives; such as learning plans, organizational capability building, Catalyst for Change, and Inclusion Summits.

  • Manage external strategic partnerships and associated relationships.

  • Manage external award and survey submission processes.

  • Builds and enhances partnerships with assigned clients to recommend diversity and inclusion strategies in support of the overall business objectives.

  • Collect and present external industry data analyses to support diversity and inclusion strategy, including but not limited to demographic analysis, surveys, presentations and metrics. Provides research and analysis of best practices and benchmarking that leads to recommendation to support diversity and inclusion strategies.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on specialty areas related to diversity and inclusion to Human Resources (HR) and business unit partners.

  • Supports HR and business unit partnership meetings by coordinating the meetings, capturing feedback, and meeting follow up.

  • Participates in diversity associations to keep abreast of emerging issues, ideas and best practices.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate degree in human resources, marketing, multicultural studies, business administration or related field.

License/Certification/Designation: Professional certifications like the Certified Professional - Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional – Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP) is a plus.

Experience: Eight or more years related experience in human resources, marketing or strategies and initiatives. Previous community relations, program and project leadership, and diversity and inclusion strategy experience preferred.
