JOB SUMMARY: Prioritizes, forecasts, schedules, and coordinates resources to execute marketing and/or sales development programs that directly support business unit or channel sales, profit, and/or market share growth efforts. Assists in the implementation of cross-functional and/or cross-business unit strategic sales initiatives. Develops and maintains business relationships with targeted groups or individuals. May serve as the secondary business contact for the smaller target accounts and assists with responsibility for the accounts satisfaction. Identifies opportunities for sales expansion. Provides market conduct information to management.

Job Description

Reports to: the Director or AVP of Emerging Partnerships.


1.Assists in executing marketing and/or sales development programs in support of business unit or sales channel productivity goals.

2.Assists in the implementation of cross-functional and/or cross-business unit strategic sales initiatives.

3.Develops and maintains relationships with groups and/or individuals within target sales markets.

4.Responsible for all communications, conflict resolution, and compliance with contractual agreements within assigned target market.

5.Analyzes and identifies opportunities for sales expansion.

6.Assists with the presentation of sales expansion opportunities to management.

7.Develops and analyzes routine and non-complex ad hoc business development/market conduct reports for management.

8.Develops and maintains files of important relationship contacts.

9.Assists with identifying and selecting the best markets or channels to target for developing business.

10.Develops, analyzes, and provides market conduct reports to management.

11.Performs other duties as assigned.


Education: Undergraduate degree in business administration or related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of three years of sales experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.

Knowledge: Knowledge of sales, marketing, and business development. Knowledge of insurance products.

Skills/Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with the target group or individual, information documentation and report formulation. Strong ability to understand and analyze business information needs, analyze data requests, and develop relationships. Competencies include; Customer Focus, Interpersonal Savvy, Relationship Building, Drive for Results, Optimism, Dealing with Ambiguity, Listening, Patience, Problem Solving, and Sales.
