The Sr. Imaging Processor supports the processing and storage Records for Claims and Underwriting within the Operations Division of Nationwide E&S/Specialty. Electronic document processing constitutes 90% of our work with 10% being paper based. The position reports directly to the Operations Unit Manager with supervision of a Lead Processor.

Some post-high school education is helpful
Insurance knowledge helpful
JOB SUMMARYReceives mail and other documents from internal/external customers. Processes requests for historical documents by determining location of storage and retrieving the necessary documents. Prepares documents for the electronic scanning process; scans and indexes documents. Performs quality control of all documents scanned and indexed to ensure integrity of information transmitted and researches where limited information is provided. Communicates issues to appropriate area. Processes work according to established Service Level Agreements. May assist with training of new processors.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSReports to Supervisor
CORE JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives, opens, sorts and processes incoming mail and documents. Separates mail and other materials accordingly and reviews documents for quality.
Attaches proper instructions as applicable. Provides research on documents where limited information is provided. May scan and image documents according to established Service Level Agreements.
Processes requests and retrieves historical documents from storage, as needed. Interacts with business partners to obtain clarification on requests as necessary. May work with vendors to obtain documents not readily accessible within area. May be responsible for off-site storage of documents, including scheduling of boxes, re-filing in off-site boxes, rotating documents/photos, destroying old documents, etc.
Communicates computer hardware or software malfunction to appropriate systems area (internally or vendor).
May assist with training of new processors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Two years related work experience. Prefer at least one year in an imaging role.
Knowledge: Knowledge of general office procedures. Familiarity with basic office equipment such as personal computers, copies, faxes machines, etc. Prefer familiarity with imaging, internal documents and processes and/or customers.
Skills/Competencies: Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions. Verbal and written communication skills. Organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to recognize different insurance and financial documents. Ability to efficiently operate office equipment, including personal computer, calculator, fax and copy machine. Ability to perform indexing. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

JOB CONDITIONSOvertime Eligibility: Eligible (non-exempt)
Working Conditions: Production environment. Noise level moderate. Ability to twist, turn, bend, stoop and make repetitive motions with hands/wrists. Able to sit for extended periods of time. Able to consistently lift up to 35 lbs. and frequently lift, carry or push up to 80 pounds.
